Sunset Rock, also referred to as Chimney Rock, is located on the west end of the island near Stonecliffe, and offers an absolutely stunning view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge. This popular rock formation is Mackinac Island's best kept secret and was obtained in 2002 by the Mackinac Island State Park. While on the bluff you may want to visit Stonecliffe Inn which was buit in 1904 by Michael Cudahy. Michael was a multi-millionaire who established the business of moving meat in refrigerated wagons. He spent his later years in a stately home in Chicago as well as his mansion on Mackinac Island.
