We are looking for a helpful and hardworking Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for assisting guests. Our Porter is responsible for carrying bags to and from the boat docks to our horse-drawn shuttle or hotels and ensuring that guest enjoy their Mackinac Island experience. This position requires a high level of physical ability, quick thinking, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities of a Dock Porter:

​

• Handle all luggage transportation from the ferry docks to our shuttle or hotel.

• Must be able to ride a bicycle.

• Work closely with Front Desk Personnel.

​

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Housekeeper

Sunset Condominiums, Inc., d/b/a Mackinac Resorts is seeking to employ five (5) people in the position of Housekeeper from April 01, 2025 through October 31, 2025

 

Involves cleaning guest rooms; turning down beds; and cleaning public areas of residences.  No prior experience or education is required.  Shifts of 8 hours:  9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Days of week vary.  Business is open 7 days a week.  Wages of at least $16.00 per hour, with overtime available at time-and-a-half when applicable.  On-the-job-training not available.  Housing available at $75 per week, is optional, and will be deducted from bi-weekly payroll in addition to other deductions authorized by law.  Board and fringe benefits not provided.  Employer will make no deductions from the worker’s paycheck except those required by law.  Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.  Transportation and the cost of one piece of luggage (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period.
