Sunset Rock

Sunset Rock , also referred to as Chimney Rock, is located on the west end of the island near Stonecliffe, offers an absolutely stunning view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge. This popular rock formation is Mackinac Island's best kept secret and was obtained in 2002 by the Mackinac Island State Park. While on the bluff you may want to visit Stonecliffe Inn which was buit in 1904 on 150 acres by Michael Cudahy. Michael established the business of moving meat in refrigerated wagons and ended his days as a multi-millionaire in a stately home in Chicago as well as his mansion on Mackinac Island.
