Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week

Foodies, come out, come out wherever you are and join us this fall when Mackinac Island's finest restaurants offer inspiring, multi-course meals prepared especially to spotlight Mackinac Island as a premier dining destination.  There’s no special passes, tickets, or coupons required.  All diners need to do is come on out to the island and visit their favorite participating restaurants for a fabulous prix fixe meal which spotlights their ambiance, signature dishes, and culinary artistry.

This special weekend at the end of September and beginning of October is a fabulous way to welcome you to join us on Mackinac island and explore new dining opportunities or enjoy old favorites amongst the fall foliage on this pictaresque island.

Mackinac Island is nestled in the straits of Mackinac where the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan meet.  Mackinac Island is a National Historic Landmark where no motorized vehicles are permitted.  Bicycles and horse-power (literal horse-power) are the favored modes of transport here.    Because we care about our horses, we prohibit the use of any type of personal motorized vehicles. Instead all enjoy leisurely horse drawn carriage tours, trail riding, biking, hiking or walking.

With our rich cultural past of Great Lakes Native American tribes, British and American colonial troops, and French fur trappers, there is a wealth of inspiration for our culinary practicioners.  From a light little bistro to a full course French fine-dining experience, you can find it all and sample it during restaurant week.  With our proximity to Lake Michigan, there’s always a succulent variety of freshwater fish for your dining experience -- all within walking, biking, or horse-drawn carriage reach.  What could be better than a stroll among the fabulous fall foliage after partaking of some excellent Mackinac Island hospitality.
